Our Story

A person in a white coat standing on rocks in a stream, surrounded by lush green foliage and trees, with a walking path in the background.

Kathryn was the kind of person who made life feel lighter. She was kind, humble, and had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. She never judged, never turned anyone away, and always saw the best in people. If you needed help, she was there in an instant—no questions asked. If you needed cheering on, she was the loudest in the crowd, never caring if she embarrassed herself, only that you knew she was rooting for you.

Her warmth stretched beyond just family and friends. Anyone who walked through our door felt at home because of her. She was someone you could talk to for hours, someone who listened without judgment, and someone who found joy in lifting others up.

Kathryn’s life was tragically cut short due to a brain hemorrhage, something we never could have seen coming. In the midst of our grief, Taylor and I realized how difficult it is to navigate life after losing someone so suddenly. Grief is heavy, isolating, and confusing, and we know firsthand how hard it is to find support when you don’t even know what you need.

That’s why we started Kathryn’s Cause—to continue the kindness and selflessness she embodied. Our mission is to raise awareness about brain hemorrhages, help families who are experiencing loss, and provide support to those struggling to find their way after such a sudden tragedy.

Kathryn gave so much to others in her lifetime. Through this charity, we will continue to do the same in her honor.
